types of events

Currently, the conscious collective offers a few avenues for therapists of color to connect with each other with the intention of creating community and building personal and professional relationships.

networking mixers

Need to grow your referral base? Interested in connecting with professionals that have a variety of specialties? Want to see what the Conscious Collective is all about? Come and join us for one of our mixers! Hosted regularly, mixers have been the primary model for connecting with new and familiar therapists in the DMV area.

healing circles

Healing Circles are peer support spaces specifically designed to process the unique experiences and challenges that come with being a therapist and also a person of color.  We share a belief that collective care is what will sustain us for the times ahead.

peer supervision

Feeling isolated in your work? Seeking a supportive community of like-minded peers? Eager to engage in meaningful discussions around therapy-related topics? Welcome to our Peer Supervision Circle—a vital space for therapists of color. Here, we prioritize creating a safe and culturally sensitive environment where BIPOC therapists can collectively address the unique experiences and challenges encountered in the field. From navigating racialized stressors to coping with systemic biases, our peer supervision offers a supportive haven for open dialogue, the exchange of coping strategies, and insights from colleagues who understand your perspective. Together, we aim to enhance professional growth, prioritize self-care, and create a more robust and inclusive mental health community.

socials

Socials are hosted by cc members and focus on making friends and having fun in a relaxed setting, unlike the more professional context of networking mixers. While cc organizers assist with marketing and planning, the activities and the event itself are entirely managed by the cc member. If you are interested in hosting an event then please email us and/or contact us via our website conscoiuscollectivedc.com

google discussion group

Our Google Discussion Group is a vibrant community where therapists in the DMV area come together to connect, collaborate, and support one another. Our group provides the perfect platform for meaningful interactions. Join us to participate in lively discussions, share insights, find referrals & resources, and build valuable connections with fellow professionals. Contact us today to become a part of our community and contribute to fostering a more inclusive and supportive mental health landscape!

business spotlight

Business spotlight is a curated feature series highlighting the incredible work of BIPOC clinicians in our community via our Instagram, Google discussion group, and Linked-in. Each spotlight shares a therapist’s story, clinical focus, and offerings, supporting both client referrals and deeper connections among fellow therapists. Our goal is to amplify underrepresented voices in mental health and foster a network rooted in visibility, collaboration, and care. Want to be featured? Fill out the form below—we would love to uplift your work!
